Insofern soll auch ein Beitrag zu einer systematischen Historischen Grammatik des Deutschen einschlielich ihrer methodischen Umsetzung geboten werden, so dass der Sammelband auch geeignet scheint, als Referenzwerk im Hinblick auf spezifische Fragen syntaktischer und textgrammatischer Arbeit in der Sprachgeschichtsforschung zu fungieren.
