Going Rogue

Over at CNET, the Audiophiliac Steve Guttenberg reports on the Rogue Audio Sphinx integrated amplifier. Utilizing a Class D and tube based design, this integrated amplifier sports 100 watts per channel at 8 ohms (200watts at 4 ohms) and includes a built-in phono input and headphone amp. Like all Rogue Audio components, the Sphinx is built in Brodheadsville, PA.  Price: $1,295. Not too shabby. And according to the Audiophiliac, “the sound more than lived up to my expectations. The Sphinx engages the listener and consistently brings music to life.”
